Nominya

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 14, 2026

Nominya is a free reference site for cross-cultural baby naming. We collect the minimum amount of information needed to operate, and we don't sell or share your data.

What we collect

When you visit Nominya, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard web request metadata: IP address, user agent (browser + OS), and the URL you visited. This is used for traffic analysis and to detect abuse. We don't link these logs to any personal identifier.

We don't use any analytics tools that track you across the web, and we don't set tracking cookies. If you fill in a form (currently we have none), that data would be processed only for the specific purpose stated.

Cookies

We don't use cookies on Nominya at this time. If we add cookies in the future (for example, to remember your filter preferences), we'll update this page and add a consent banner where required.

Third-party services

Nominya is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may set their own essential cookies for security and content delivery. See Vercel's privacy policy.

In the future, we may add advertising (such as Google AdSense) or analytics tools (such as Plausible). If we do, this policy will be updated to disclose what data those services collect and how to opt out.

Your rights

If you're in a jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws (EU GDPR, California CCPA, etc.), you have the right to request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Currently we don't hold any user-identifiable data, but if that changes, email us at contact@nominya.com.

Children

Nominya is a baby naming reference, but it's intended for adults (parents, learners, etc.). We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Updates to this policy

We may update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Substantive changes will be noted in a brief summary at the top.
